For three days, we weren’t able to stop celebrating. Initially, an application we had prepared in an intense process with our long-term client HessenChemie received the biggest possible honor: On Monday, February 22nd, HessenChemie was proclaimed “Association of the Year” – the first German state association to win this award in the history of that competition! On the occasion of the 12th German Association Congress, the jury was most impressed by HessenChemie’s focus on the future.

Only two days later: two more awards. First, Kerstin Hammer, head of personnel at the Main Kinzig Kliniken (MKK), and Q director Laurenz Nielbock received the “Big Award”. This first prize for best employment advertisement (which we created for MKK) was given on the occasion of the German HR Manager Congress by Deutsches Ärzteblatt, the official publication of the German Medical Association and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. An unexpected triumph that day in Hannover which was enhanced by the performance of Thilo von Debschitz look-alike Eckart von Hirschhausen …

At the same hour on Wednesday night, the head of the social department, Arno Gossmann, handed out the “Goldene Lilie” (Golden Lilly) in the ballroom of the Wiesbaden City Hall for the first time. One of the nineteen awardees was the Q team, represented by partner Matthias Frey. The award, which honors pro-bono social commitment by companies, recognized our work for hospice Auxilium (an institution for terminal medical care) and Kinderträume (an organization that fulfills the last wishes of terminally ill children). Through this firstpublic award ceremony, which received great press coverage, the organizers hope to establish a persuasive precedent for other corporations.
