Q promotes “Orpheus in the Underworld”

Michael Quast

Once again, Q promotes an event of the Rheingau Musik Festival: In “Orpheus in the Underworld”, a single artist sings, conducts, reads, and dances the main and supporting roles of the famous Jacques Offenbach opera all by himself. Award-winning comedian Michael Quast provides the voice for each role in the opera, even a loving couple or a trio of characteres. “Orpheus” is presented at the Domäne Rauenthal, Eltville, and is already sold out. With its annual support, Q joins the distinguished group of corporations and individuals that assures the continuing vitalilty of one of the leading music festivals in Europe.

»Michael Quasts’ version of “Orpheus in the Underworld” by Jacques Offenbach is ingenious because it entirely captures the spirit of operetta.«
