INITIAL POSITION

We are not the only agency for communication design in Wiesbaden. In fact, there are many talented designers working in our city. We know many of them well, and we admire their work. We rely on friendship rather than rivalry, on exchange rather than distance – on behalf of our common commitment to good design. We meet with some of our “competitors" regularly to share experiences.

Q is a founder and active member of the municipal committee for creative businesses. In 2007, representatives of the local agency scene, the city’s Department of Economy, the RhineMain University, the Heimathafen, and the Chamber of Commerce formed an alliance to make the design excellence in Wiesbaden more visible and direct the attention of all local entrepreneurs to the creative potential of our expertise.

PRODUCT

In this context, Q created the brochure “How to solve corporate tasks with creativity”. It presents “excellent communication design from Wiesbaden”. The 56-page publication introduces 40 exciting projects in images and (German) words, realized by Wiesbaden agencies. In addition to corporate identities, websites, and printed material, readers discover the design of an island in the United Arab Emirates or a light installation indicating the air pollution in Wiesbaden. An index lists 92 agency addresses in alphabetical order and makes the brochure a useful tool for business people seeking creative partners. (Of course, we strongly recommend all agencies listed under the letter Q.) As a symbol for the remarkable solidarity within our creative scene, we’ve chosen a distinctive binding: A rubber band – dyed in Wiesbaden’s color Royal Blue – holds all the pages together.

The brochure was edited by the Department of Economy of the City of Wiesbaden. If you’re interested, you can request the publication at no cost from wirtschaft@wiesbaden.de.
