Commissioned by SOKA-BAU (Social Fund for the German Building and Construction Industry), each year we create large-format calendars for the series Fascination of Construction. The project includes selection of construction-related themes and nationwide research for matching objects. For the tenth calendar in a row we came up with the motto “Building for Motion”. Under that theme, we featured architecture that enables motion and transportation – including sports venues and infrastructural projects (streets, bridges, railways). A visual link connects all the calendar pages by integrating “speed lines” in the images. They soften the static lines of the architectural photography and add a dynamic sense of motion throughout the calendar.
