THE TASK

In a very competitive market that is subject to constant evolution, the technology corporation BFE develops global solutions for broadcasting and audio-visual systems. BFE commissioned Q to create a new corporate identity that reflects the company’s own evolution, from traditional technologies to world-class digital methods.

THE CONCEPT

Together with the management board, we researched BFE’s strengths in a series of corporate-identity workshops, which revealed a conceptual foundation for the company’s extensive design relaunch. The result is a visual appearance that highlights BFE's advantage: premium quality in consulting and solutions for complex challenges in technology.

In a first step, the previous logo was gently reworked and “straigthened”. This simplification conveys the new focus on the company’s promising future.

CORPORATE FONT

For specific applications in brand communication and a constistent, recognizable impression, we designed the corporate font: BFE Sans.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

To illustrate BFE’s development of ideal solutions, we created a unique image language that visualizes the intellectual challenge of the company’s expertise. The motifs symbolize floating, trend-setting processes of thinking, planning, and executing.

INTERACTIVE DESIGN

No matter how you access the BFE website (desktop computer, tablet, or smartphone), the new BFE website presents the complete company story in the same premium design system. Users from various technology specialties receive the information they need on the company’s products and solutions. (The web development was done in close cooperation with our friends at
DI UNTERNEHMER.)

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

We asked photographer Jonas Werner to establish a visual system that matches the portraits of the managing board members to the new corporate-identity.
