THE TASK

Q was asked to create a new issue of the annual Wiesbaden Magazine. The assignment included conception of a leading theme and proposals for articles, editorial work for all pages, and design and production of the 28-page publication. Around 400,000 copies were enclosed in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, a leading German newspaper.

THE CONCEPT

Our concept was to present Wiesbaden’s cultural life in all facets, awakening the couriosity of potential visitors and discarding our city’s outmoded image. With 21st-century magazine design, we delivered both information and entertainment.

THE COVER

The title page showcases Wiesbaden’s attractions as a surprising three-page illustration. The visual also serves as calendar of events: hints of upcoming events are hidden in the image, decoded and complemented with more information in the text.

SPECIAL LOCATIONS

The magazine’s first section is dedicated to special locations in Wiesbaden that shape our city's urban attitude and convey its trendy, youthful aspects.

CULINARY

The second section deals with culinary culture, providing an insight into the city's cosmopolitan restaurant scene.

TREND PRODUCTS

The centerfold presents innovative products om Wiesbaden, for example hand-made lingerie, craft beer, organic icecream, and internationally renowned vodka.

PERSONALITIES

The third section of the magazine introduces interesting characters in Wiesbaden who are engaged in diverse fields of culture.
