Bilbao, Spain – UNESCO City of Design since 2014 – hosted SELECTED, an annual design conference. Its name refers to the fine selection of international design studios that were invited to present their best creative solutions. Among the speakers in Azkuna Zentroa, a cultural centre designed by Philippe Starck, were Erik Kessels (Kesselskramer, Amsterdam), Beatriz Cifuentes and Yoshiki Waterhouse (New York City), Élodie Poisson (Angoulême), Rik Bas Backer (Paris), Skunkfunk (Lezama), Tomi Selles (Barcelona), and the Q partners Matthias Frey and Alexander Ginter (Wiesbaden). We are happy and proud to be included in this prestigious circle! In our talk, entitled “Unpredictable”, we presented our work for a calendar that was inspired by coincidence and a corporate design project whose success was not foreseeable as well.
